AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2013-14: Named honorable mention All-WCC for the second consecutive season ... competed in 10 of 11 events playing 30 rounds compiling the second-best stroke average on the team at 73.50 ... tied for the team-lead with three rounds under 70 ... earned his first career top-10 finish and three top-20 placements ... scored five sub-par and three even-par rounds among his 30 total ... scored a career-low 68 in the 3rd round of the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate and totaled 218 (+8) to tie for 34th ... tied for 21st at the Cabo del Sol Intercollegiate with rounds of 79, 74 and 71 for a +8 224 ... had two even-par rounds of 71 and a 1-over 72 to tie for 25th with a 214 at the SCVB Pacific Invitational ... finest tournament of his career with a personal-best tying 68 in the first round, a 70 and 73 for his first top-10 finish (T-8th), lowest three round score (211) and best to-par finish (-5) at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate ... totaled 221 (+8) with rounds of 73, 75 and 73 to place 12th at the Fresno State Classic ... tied for 41st at the Duck Invitational with rounds of 77, 75 and 75 ... had a second round 69 and two rounds of 72 to tie for 22nd at 213 (+3) at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic ... shot a 4-over 220 with scores of 72, 73 and 75 to tie for 13th at the WCC Championship.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2012-13: Named honorable mention All-WCC … one of three players to play 10 events and 27 rounds … had a top 20 finish in each of his last two events of the season and three total … shot a season-low 70 in the third round of his first collegiate event and finished tied for 40th at the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate … had a single round 75 and tied for 17th in the rain-shortened Querencia Cabo Collegiate … scored two even-par rounds of 72 and a 1-over 73 for his best three round total (217) and to par score (+1) of the season at the SCVB Pacific Invitational … shot three rounds of 77 at the Arizona Intercollegiate … had scores of 78, 77 and 75 at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate … tied for 31st at the UCI Anteater Invitational with rounds of 80, 73 and 79 … with scores of 74 and 71 tied for 17th place with a two round total of 145 (+5) at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic … had his best finish of the year at the WCC Championship tying for 13th and matched his best score of the season with a second round 70. Also had rounds of 73 and 77 for a +4 (220).

HIGH SCHOOL: Gandionco brings a wide array of experience to the SCU between his time spent on the Philippine Junior National Team as well as his summers spent on the US Junior Golf Tournament Circuit … Received the Cebu Sports Writers Award Special Mention in both 2009 and 2012 … Finished in the top 25 at the DHL-WWWExpress National Amateur Golf Championship … Earned 3rd in the 2010 Callaway Golf Junior World Golf Qualifying Tournament … Was among the top 10 at the 2010 Philippine Amateur Golf Championship … Won the Vis-Min Youth Circuit Leg in the Philippines … Came in 4th place at the 31st Asia Pacific Junior Golf Championship in India … Finished in the top 8 athlete Sean O’Hair Junior All-Star Championship … Helped his team come in 2nd place at both the 94th Philippine Airlines InterClub Championship as well as the 1st Montecillo Cup in 2011 … Finished in the quarterfinals and top 8 of the Phil Amateur Match Play … Gandionco was ranked as one of the top amateur golfers of the Philippines.

PERSONAL: Born in Cebu City, Philippines … son of Joesph and Marian Gandionco … has three siblings, Lia, Gisella, and Tanya … enjoys playing golf, listening to music, and hanging out with friends … Is an excellent student and is studying in Santa Clara’s Leavey School of Business.
