(2010): Sat out the season due to injury.

JUNIOR (2009): Started in each of the last eight matches of the year - helping SCU go 3-0-2 to close out the season ... registered an assist vs. San Francisco (Nov. 6) ... shot three times vs. LMU (Nov. 13) ... shot twice at Gonzaga (Oct. 30) ... got a shot off at LMU (Oct. 16) and at Portland (Nov. 1).

SOPHOMORE (2008): Saw action in five games ... made his first appearance of the year against Portland (Oct. 3) ... attempted a season-high four shots against USF (Oct. 24)

FRESHMAN (2007): Appeared as a sub vs. Alabama A&M on Aug. 31 and Vermont on Sept. 2 ... scored first career goal on Sept. 9 vs. Boston University ... made first career start on Sept. 14 vs. Stanford and started at Cal on Sept. 16 ... appeared as a sub against Portland on Oct. 19 and Gonzaga on Oct. 21 ... scored second goal of year on a header vs. Saint Mary's on Nov. 11 ... appeared in 19 out of 21 games.

HIGH SCHOOL: 2007 graduate of Santa Monica High School and played four years on the varsity ... played soccer for Frank Gatell at Santa Monica ... as a senior in 2006-07, helped the team win the Ocean League and reach the CIF quarterfinals, while being named Ocean League MVP, first-team All-Ocean League and first-team All-CIF ... named All-Ocean League First Team and All-CIF Second Team after leading team to second place finish in Ocean League and being named team MVP ... helped team to undefeated season and Ocean league title as a sophomore ... second-team All-Bay League as a freshman as Santa Monica won the Bay League title ... also played three seasons as the starting shortstop at Santa Monica, winning two Ocean League titles and earning All-Ocean League First Team honors twice ... played club soccer for the Santa Monica Rebels in the CSL ... helped the Rebels reach the Nomads Cup finals in 2006 and the quarterfinals of the League Cup in 2005 ... volunteered at the Children's Institute International and worked as a counselor at Presbyterian Pre-School.

PERSONAL: Parents are Manuel Castellanos and Nancy Schmidt ... has one older brother, Anthony ... mother played volleyball at Stanford and father was on the Stanford rugby team ... enjoys drawing and sketching ... likes traveling and spending spare time at the beach ... major is marketing.
