SAN BRUNO, Calif. – For the second year in a row, Santa Clara women's rowing had eight honored for their work in the classroom by the West Coast Conference, as announced by the league Wednesday.
Junior Irish Manalang (3.9 GPA, Neuroscience) and sophomore Mollie Mertes (3.83, Business) were named WCC All-Academic. It was the second consecutive all-academic nod for Manalang and the first for Mertes.
Seniors Hope McGowan (3.54, Economics), Leah Senatro (3.85 English), and Katherine Wickstrom (3.82, Accounting), junior Leila Chihab (3.59, Biochemistry), and sophomores Julianna Bernado (3.53, Bioengineering) and Adriana Moses (3.76, Neuroscience) were all named honorable mention.
Chihab, a three-time All-WCC pick, was all-academic a season ago with McGowan being honorable mention for the third year in a row. Senatro was honorable mention in 2017. It is the first honor for the others.
