The West Coast Conference announced its 13th annual Commissioner's Honor Roll Tuesday, and 141 Santa Clara Broncos were recognized with honors for their athletic success and academic excellence. Santa Clara had 18 student-athletes receive gold honors (3.75-4.00 GPA) and 33 student-athletes receive silver honors (3.50-3.74 GPA). The Broncos set a new record of student athletes named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll, breaking the previous mark of 133 in the 2012-13 school year.

Continuing its hard work in the classroom, Santa Clara's men’s outdoor track, women’s golf, women’s rowing, women’s tennis, women’s outdoor track, and women’s water polo teams were all recognized by the NCAA as recipients of the organization's Public Recognition Awards for academic achievement. The NCAA released the APR recognition by highlighting teams that demonstrated a commitment to academic progress and retention of student-athletes by achieving the top APR scores within their respective sports. Specifically, these six teams posted multi-year APRs in the top 10 percent of all squads in each sport. Also, men’s basketball recorded the highest four-year average APR for the West Coast Conference.

In her last season of Bronco golf, Kaci McCartan (KM) hopes to show everyone her team’s potential. She has accomplished many goals the past four years, but knows that there are more to accomplish this year. Santa Clara Broncos (SCB) had the opportunity to sit down and chat about McCartan’s upcoming spring season.
