SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara women's tennis was shutout by Gonzaga 4-0 in a West Coast Conference road contest on Wednesday at the Stevens Center.
Santa Clara (0-12, 0-4 WCC) and Gonzaga (10-8, 1-2 WCC) split the first two doubles matches. The Broncos win came from Dasee Carter and Kacey Feng over Tiegan Aitken and Caroline Wernli 6-3 on court three. However, Cate Broerman and Jenna Sloan defeated JennaMarie Gordon and Velizara Fileva 6-4 on court two to take the doubles point.
The Bulldogs got singles wins on courts six and five before Kianna Oda closed out the match with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Fileva on court three.
