Women’s Water Polo Hands Out Awards at End-of-Season Banquet

SANTA CLARA, Calif.- The Santa Clara women's water polo team celebrated its season and said goodbye to its seniors at the annual award banquet that was held Sunday on campus.

Five awards were given out this year by head coach Keith Wilbur:

Buck ended her career ranked second in Santa Clara history in earned ejections (243) and fourth in goals (154). She was a three-time All Golden Coast Conference performer and led the team in goals and kickouts drawn in each of her final three years. In her final season, Buck started in all 27 games and drew an ejection in all but four games and scored in all but one.

Eldredge concluded her career ranked fourth in school history in both assists (110) and steals (108). She was a two-time member of the GCC All-Academic team. In her final season, Eldredge was ranked first in assists (47) in the conference. She ranked first on the team in assists (47) and steals (37) for the second year in a row. 

Paxton played in all but one game in 2019 and recorded 19 goals, 13 assists, four earned ejections and nine steals.

Oys played in all but one contest and was first on the team in field blocks (13), second in assists (21), third in earned ejections (24) and tied for third in steals (20). She had two or more kickouts drawn in six separate games.

Eberle started in all 27 games and was second on the team in goals (34), assists (35) and steals (27). She scored in all but seven games.

Sicat played in all 27 contests this season. She totaled 14 goals, 13 steals, 13 kickouts drawn and three field blocks. Sicat was third on the team in assists (24) and had two or more assists seven times.
