Why I Chose Santa Clara: At first, I was not entirely certain if I would enjoy myself at a school on the West Coast. I originally intended to go to a university out East, but I still reached out towards the men’s rowing coach Jay Farwell. After such an enthralling visit with the team, I began to look more into what Santa Clara had to offer me, but as my research progressed, I started to think about what I had to offer Santa Clara. The campus grounds along with the Jesuit education, great athletics, amiable student body, and academics of a top tiered university made Santa Clara a clear choice for me.
