Women’s Golf 12th After 36 Holes Of Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational

LAKEWOOD, Wash. – Santa Clara women's golf shot rounds of 300 and 307 to take sole possession of 12th-place with a 607 total into the clubhouse after 36 holes of the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational.

Individually, the Broncos were led by sophomore Claire Choi, who scored rounds of 75 and 74 to grab a share of 25th-place with six other golfers at 5-over 149.

One shot back of that group is junior Sarah Busey, who ended the day tied for 32nd at 6-over 150 following rounds of 74 and 76.

Playing in her first event of the fall, senior Chloe Wong had the Broncos best score of the day with a first-round even-par 72. However, a second-round 79 dropped her into 36th place with six other players at 7-over 151.

Senior Marni Murez finished the day with a 157 total (79-78) to place in a tie for 74th. Sophomore Naomi Wong improved her second round score by 2-shots to move into a tie for 86th at 160 (81-79).

Gonzaga dominated the team and individual leaderboard on Monday grabbing a 19-shot advantage over Grand Canyon and tournament host Seattle for the team lead with a 568 total. Quynn Duong carded a 6-under 138 to take a three-shot lead on the player side entering Tuesday's final round at the 6,020-yard, par-72 Tacoma Country and Golf Club.
