Nov. 1, 2007

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara student-athletes will be selling red and white Bronco spirit bracelets as an effort to raise money for the Right to Play organization during the month of November. Jordan Angeli (women's soccer), Aaron Clubb (men's soccer), Donald Brandt (baseball), Jeff Lombard (baseball) along with classmate Gardiner Hammond are selling the Bronco bracelets as a part of a community service project for their business writing class.

"We thought it would be a good way to incorporate how proud we are all to be here at SCU and share that pride around the world," said Angeli.

Their goal is to donate $2500 to the Right to Play organization, which promotes a healthy and safe environment for disadvantaged children worldwide through the power of sports.

The bracelets will be sold for $3 each or two bracelets for $5 at various Bronco sporting events at the merchandise table beginning on Nov. 1 at the volleyball game against San Francisco. They will be selling the bracelets in Benson Memorial Center on Mondays as well. In addition to selling the bracelets, the group will be accepting check or cash donations for Right to Play. For more information, contact Jordan Angeli at jangeli@scu.edu.
