SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Sophomore Andrew Blumel and junior Lauren Swigart were among five Broncos who competed at the Gator Invitational Saturday, hosted by San Francisco State at Golden Gate Park.

With the majority of the Bronco squad returning from Friday's competition at the Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend, Ind., Blumel finished 11th overall in a time of 27:07. Michael Hannon finished 15th overall among the 48 runners in the men's race. The Millbrae, Calif. native registered an 8,000-meter time of 27:18.

Daniel Bettencourt, a junior from Aptos, Calif., finished 30th overall with a time of 28:23.

Swigart, a native of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. traversed the 6,000-meter women's course in a time of 24:08 to finish 12th, one place ahead of teammate Adriane Puetz's 24:11.

Both full Bronco squads are scheduled to return to competition at the Santa Clara Invitational at Baylands Park on Oct. 15.
