Why he chose Santa Clara?: “As a tennis player from BASIS Tucson North High School, amazing academic opportunities and an excellent team were my check marks to attend a university. When I arrived at SCU on my official visit, I could immediately see that the coaching staff was as driven and competitive as me. This demonstrated attitude, along with their technical knowledge about the game, convinced me that the program would take my game to the next level. The manner that I discovered the strength of academic programs at SCU was through my own research as well as my discussion with a biological science adviser on my official visit. I could see that the Biology major and Biotechnology minor programs at SCU are very good and will provide a good foundation for possible graduate studies. Once I saw that the academics and athletics at SCU met and surpassed my criteria the decision to choose SCU became very easy.”
