Men's Tennis Travels to Cal Poly Sunday

The Santa Clara men's tennis team travels to San Luis Obispo, Calif., to play Cal Poly in a 1 pm match on Sun., March 22. The men are then off until they host Sacramento State on Tues., March 31 at 4 pm.

The Mustangs defeated Santa Clara 5-2 last season at Santa Clara.

The Bronco men's tennis team is 3-6 this season and has had four matches either cancelled or postponed due to bad weather. Cal Poly is 4-7 in duals after an 0-2 trip to Arizona last week. Cal Poly, 2-1 at home this season and 2-6 on the road, hosts Dartmouth on Saturday prior to playing the Broncos on Sunday.

The Santa Clara men's tennis team spilt its home matches last weekend, falling to UAB, 5-2, on Saturday before charging back on Sunday to defeat Northern Colorado, 7-0. Jay Wong improved his No. 1 singles record this season to 9-4. In addition, Bronco senior John Iwanski won his first-ever collegiate match with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Andre Lepine of Northern Colorado.
