SAN MATEO, Calif. – Senior Merle Wiehl was named Preseason All-West Coast Conference in a poll of the league's 10 head coaches.

Wiehl finished second on the team in scoring a season ago with 11.6 points per game and 5.1 rebounds per game. She knocked down a team-best 45 3-pointers while shooting 44.6-percent from beyond the arc, also tops on the team. She was also led the Broncos in shooting percentage overall with a mark of 52.9-percent.

She turned things up a notch late in the season, scoring in double-figures 13 times over the final 16 games. Overall she registered 14 double-digit scoring games and scored 20-plus five times, including a career-best 28 vs. LMU in the quarterfinals of the WCC Tournament. She added 16 more against top-seeded Gonzaga in the semifinals and was named to the All-Tournament Team.

The German native was Second Team All-WCC as well.
