SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's rowing travels south to race in the San Diego Crew Classic Saturday and Sunday.

Two rowers were honored by the West Coast Conference on the Preseason All-WCC team. Junior Valerie Bright and Sophomore Hope McGowan were the honorees. They look to lead a young team with a new head coach in Matt Pinschmidt.

The Broncos had a solid showing two weeks ago during the first competition of the season. They won one race against UC Davis, Humboldt State, and Orange Coast College at the Port of Sacramento.
