SANTA CLARA, Calif. –
The Santa Clara University women's water polo team travels to San Diego this weekend to play in the UCSD Triton Invitational. The Broncos will play third-ranked UCLA Saturday, Feb. 12 at 8:30 a.m. The remainder of the weekend schedule will be determined in true tournament format.

Updated scores and schedules throughout the weekend will be available by clicking here.

"This is the best group of teams we will face in a tournament this year," said Santa Clara head coach Keith Wilbur about the event in La Jolla, Calif. "It's also fun because teams from the East Coast will come out like Hartwick, Marist and Maryland. Michigan will be there also, so you get to see teams you normally wouldn't. There is a good chance we will face conference opponents as well."

Nine of the nation's top 20 teams will be part of the 16-team field:
No. 3 UCLA
No. 6 LMU
No. 7 Michigan
No. 9 SDSU
No. 12 UCSB
No. 13 CS Northridge
No. 14 Hartwick
No. 17 UCSD
No. 20 Marist

Santa Clara began the season just outside of the top 20 – receiving votes among the best teams nationally. The Broncos have already faced four ranked teams this year and own a 2-4 early-season record heading into the weekend.

Freshman Claire Eadington (pictured) scored four goals in SCU's 13-8 road victory at Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday, Feb. 5. Eadington had five goals, four assists, six steals and six kick outs drawn on the day, as the Broncos beat Fresno Pacific 13-4 later that afternoon.
