The 2012 Endowment Dinner returned to the Santa Clara University Campus on March 10, 2012 to the delight of benefactors, guests and students. The night began with a new tradition, Mass at the Mission Church. Following the mass, the student-athletes and guests walked to Benson Memorial Center for the evening’s reception, dinner and program.

Santa Clara Hall of Famers Bud Ogden (Basketball), Rich Troedson (Baseball), Terry Weekes (Soccer), Marygrace Colby (Coach & Administrator) and Cameron Rast (Soccer) were in attendance for the celebration of the Bronco Bench Foundation’s 50th year. The crowd of 170 plus heard from Santa Clara University President, Fr. Michael Engh, Athletic Director, Dan Coonan, Bronco Bench Foundation President, Andy Schatzman (’83) and Bronco Bench Foundation Executive Director, Rusty Weekes (’71).

Guests were treated to a special commemorative Bronco Bench Foundation video that featured the successes of SCU student-athletes and teams over the past 50 years.

As always, the student- Athletes stole the show with their speeches.  This year’s student-athlete speakers were: Marc Trasolini (men's basketball), Erin McCarthy (cross country/track), Keigo Kameya (men's soccer), Kacie Wagner (women's tennis), Nico Vinel (men's tennis), and Briana Knight (softball).

The evening concluded with Jerry Smith, the head women's soccer coach, leading attendees in singing along to the SCU Fight Song played by the Pep Band.
