The Bronco Bench Foundation hosted its 33rd Annual Bronco Bench Golf Classic on Thurs., Sept. 8th at the scenic Cinnabar Hills Golf Club in San Jose, Calif. The largest group ever for a Bronco Bench tournament, at over 200 players, enjoyed a fun day raising scholarships for Santa Clara University Athletics.
This tournament kicks off an 18-month celebration of the BBF’s 50 years of supporting Santa Clara Athletics.
The day began with a shotgun start at 12:00 p.m., followed by a reception and the dinner program. The Bronco Bench acknowledged the winners of the tournament, the winners of the 60/40 Raffle and iPad 2 Raffle and Bronco Sports Trivia. The BBF also held our Live Auction, featuring a an all-inclusive trip to Wrigley Field, including rooftop seating, a 49ers package including tickets to a luxury suite, an America’s Cup Package and more.
The BBF has gone from raising $40,000 four years ago at the Bronco Bench Golf Classic, to raising over $100,000 this year! That is the difference between 80% of one scholarship to funding two full scholarships.
The 33rd Annual Bronco Bench Golf Classic was an opportunity to celebrate the past 50 years while looking towards the bright future of Santa Clara Athletics.
