Santa Clara Men's Rowing Has Solid Showing at Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - In the final races before the West Coast Conference Championships May 12 and 13, Santa Clara men's rowing competed in six races at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships in Lake Natoma, Calif. over the weekend. The Broncos best finish was first place in the Men's 2nd Varsity Eight Petite where they had a time of 6:21.1.

"WIRA's was a competitive race for all of our boats," said senior Daniel Calvillo. "Our JV boat performed quite well finishing with a time that would put them at 5th in the final. The varsity boat posted their fastest time but finished 4th behind Gonzaga, UCSD, and USD."
