SACRAMENTO, Calif. – In a match played in 95-degree heat, the visiting Santa Clara University and Sacramento State University combined for eight yellow cards and 29 fouls.
Santa Clara's Keigo Kameya scored his first collegiate
goal in the first half before Rory O'Day answered with an
equalizer for Sacramento State just after intermission. Despite two
overtimes and 20 minutes of extra time, the game ended in a 1-1
tie.

Santa Clara will now prepare for West Coast Conference play. The Broncos will travel to the Pacific Northwest for matches against Gonzaga University Friday, October 1 and league favorite the University of Portland Sunday, October 3.
