SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Arthur Neuhaus won a three-set thriller to complete a 4-3 comeback victory for Santa Clara men's tennis over UNLV on Saturday at the Degheri Tennis Center.
Santa Clara (4-2) trailed 3-1 in the team score but three-set wins by James Bell and Mann Shah set the stage for a winner take all match atop the singles lineup between Neuhaus and Christoper Bulus with the Bronco senior coming up on top, 7-6 (8-6), 4-6, 7-5 in a tightly contested match.
Guillaume Dalmasso continued his strong spring defeating Joran Sauer 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 to give the Broncos their first team point and remain undefeated in the spring at 6-0 in singles play.
UNLV (4-5) took the next match on court six giving them a 3-1 advantage but James Bell took down Milos Dabic 4-6, 6-2, 6-0 to extend the match as the the Broncos trailed 3-2. Mann Shah evened the match with his win over Zac Brodney 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 on court three.
All four Broncos wins in singles play went to three sets.
