PORTLAND, Ore. - Sunday's Pacific Coast Softball Conference doubleheader between Portland State and Santa Clara at Erv Lind Stadium has been postponed due to rain. The games may be rescheduled at a later date.
The Vikings (19-29, 10-8 PCSC) reside in third place in the conference and were to play their final regular season games of the year against the first-place Broncos (30-23, 12-4 PCSC). Both teams, along with second-place Loyola Marymount (30-20, 11-5 PCSC), are battling for the inaugural PCSC championship, but poor weather across the conference has led to several cancelled games over the past two weeks. Those games that could play a role in determining the league winner will be rescheduled.
Santa Clara will return to action on Tuesday, visiting Saint Mary's to close out the season series against the Gaels. The Broncos shut out SMC in two games last week. First pitch will take place in Moraga at 2:30 p.m.
