MORAGA, Calif. - The Santa Clara University women's tennis team closed their regular season schedule with a 5-2 West Coast Conference loss to Saint Mary's this afternoon in Moraga. The Broncos fall to 11-10 overall, 5-3 in league play, while the Gaels fall to 9-13, 3-4.

Saint Mary's earned the doubles points with an extra-set win on court two. The Gaels proceeded to win four singles matches to secure the victory.

Junior Janalle Kaloi and freshman Kimberly Daniel picked up wins for the Broncos.

"There's no excuse for how we played today," head coach Tricia Guidace said. "However, we'll be ready to return back here next weekend for the tournament."

Santa Clara will close out the season at the 2004 WCC Championships, hosted by Saint Mary's. Details on opponents and times will be released early next week.
