SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara University women's tennis team concluded its fall season at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association/Omni Hotels Northwest Women's Regional Championships today, hosted by Stanford at the Taube Family Tennis Center.

In consolation singles, Nicole Jackson advanced to today's third round before falling to Saint Mary's Meg Schulman 6-4, 6-1.

Late results from Friday's action included the doubles draw, where Janalle Kaloi and Erika Barnes earned an 8-5 doubles victory over Sacramento State's Cristina Rivieccio and Ann Roslund, while Nicole Jackson and Jessie Strunk fell to San Francisco's Courtney Chung and Michelle Duncan by the same score. Kaloi and Barnes fell in the Round of 32 to a tandem from Pacific.

"The team competed very well during a very long day on Friday," assistant coach Tricia Guidace said. "Our other assistant, Marcell Hlousek, was very helpful in preparing these student-athletes for matches against players from nationally-ranked programs. We will be able to use this weekend as experience in preparing us for the fall season."

The spring campaign will open January 24, when Santa Clara hosts Cal Poly at the SCU Tennis Center. First serve will be at 11 a.m.
