SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Senior forward Josip Vrankic of Santa Clara men's basketball landed on the 2020-21 preseason All-West Coast Conference team.

One of 10 players voted to the squad by the league's coaches, Vrankic was a second team All-WCC selection last season and is one of four starters returning for the Broncos.

Vrankic, a three-year starter, was first on the team in scoring (12.5 points per game) and rebounding (5.4 pg) last season. His 1.8-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio to lead the team and he ranked fifth in the conference in both free throws made (123) and attempted (167) despite missing two of the final four games due to a sprained ankle.

The Toronto native has started in all but six of his 92 career games. He ranks 28th on the school's all-time scoring list (1,123) and has 11 career double-doubles.

The 2020-21 season may begin on Nov. 25, though the Broncos have not finalized a nonconference schedule. The WCC schedule was announced earlier this month.
