SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara men's basketball will look to keep their momentum rolling this week with a pair of home games inside the Leavey Center. First up is a 7:00 p.m. showdown against San Diego on Thursday. The game will be streamed live on the WCC Network.

NOTES

  • The Broncos will play two of their last three home games this week - first against San Diego on Thursday and LMU on Saturday.

  • SCU is coming off a big 84-70 win at San Francisco. Sophomores Carlos Stewart and Brandin Podziemski each topped 20 points with 25 and 23, respectively. 

  • Stewart and Podziemski each has nine 20-point games on the season.

  • The backcourt duo are averaging 19.8 (Podz) and 19.0 (Stewart) ppg in the last five games are shooting a combined 49.3 percent from the field. 

  • Podziemski leads the team in PPG (19.0), RPG (8.2), APG (3.2) and SPG (1.96). He ranks third in the WCC in PPG and fourth in RPG. 

  • Podziemski is one of just three players in NCAA D1 averaging 19.0 ppg, 8.0 rpg and 3.0 apg. 

  • Podziemski has eight double-doubles, which ranks second in the WCC.

  • Keshawn Justice ranks 16th in school history in career scoring (1,513) and fourth in career appearances (136). He needs just one more apperance to tie for the most all-time.

  • Justice leads the WCC in 3-pointers made (69), attempted (192) and per game (2.76).

  • Stewart ranks 7th in the WCC in total ppg (15.7) and 8th in league play (17.2).

  • Podziemski (2nd) and Stewart (5th) rank in the top 5 in the league in total steals. 

  • Santa Clara leads the WCC in rebounds per game (38.84).

  • Parker Braun is tied for the WCC lead with 5.5 Defensive RPG in league play.

  • The Broncos have had two players score 20 or more on six occasions.

  • The Broncos lead the WCC with just 15.5 fouls per game.

  • Podziemski won WCC Player of the Week honors twice in the first five weeks of the year.  He's the first Bronco since Jared Brownridge in 2016-17 with multiple WCC POTW honors. 

  • Braun and Jaden Bediako are tied for fourth in the WCC with 25 blocks. The Broncos are 3rd as a team with 3.6 per game.

  • Herb Sendek has 527 victories, 61st-most all-time in D1 history

  • With a 12-3 mark, SCU tied for their 2nd most non-conference wins in program history.
