SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara men's basketball is one of four teams that will headline the 2023 Emerald Coast Classic basketball tournament, presented by Global Sports. The annual tournament will be played Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 24-24, at Raider Arena on the campus of Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Fla. 

The Broncos will be joined in the field by Alabama, Ohio State and Oregon. 

"We're excited about the rich tradition of this year's tournament field," said tournament director Maury Hanks, chief excectuive office of Global Sports. "We continue to strive to bring the best college basketball teams possible to the Emerald Coast of Florida." 

Santa Clara is coming off a 23-10 record and second-consecutive appearance in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). The Broncos' 23 regular-season wins were their most since 1968-69 and included sweeps over BYU, Pepperdine, San Diego and USF. 

Alabama was the No. 1 overall seed in the 2023 NCAA Tournament and advanced to the Sweet 16 where they fell to national runner-up San Diego State. Oregon is coming off a 21-16 record and a quarterfinal appearance in the NIT while Ohio State finished No. 52 in the final 2022-23 NET rankings despite a 16-19 overall record.
