  • Santa Clara Men's Crew Set for Pacific Coast Rowing Championships

    Gearing up for the final races of the 2012 season, Santa Clara men's rowing competed in the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships on April 28 and 29. The Broncos finished the Men's 2nd Varsity Eight Petite race in first place and was runner-up in the Novice Eight Petite, but did not win the title because of finishes in the other races.

  • Santa Clara Men's Rowing Has Solid Showing at Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships

    In the final races before the West Coast Conference Championships May 12 and 13, Santa Clara men's rowing competed in six races at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships in Lake Natoma, Calif. over the weekend. The Broncos best finish was first place in the Men's 2nd Varsity Eight Petite where they had a time of 6:21.1.

    As the only female on an all male rowing team, junior Angelica Salinas has her hands full. Salinas played many sports in high school but upon entering college she wanted to mix things up and decided to join the rowing team. She has come a long way and is now helping to navigate the team through the championship race.
