Men's Golf to Host Bronco Cup Challenge

Jan. 18, 2005

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara University men's golf program invites you to play a round of golf with a Bronco player at the team's annual Bronco Cup Challenge. The fundraising tournament will be hosted at The Golf Club at Boulder Ridge on Monday, February 28.

This event provides a unique opportunity to play one of the finest courses in Northern California with one of the up-and-coming golf programs in the country. The format also allows guests to play a ball all the way through and compete for team and individual prizes.

The event will begin at 11 a.m. with registration and lunch, followed by the team and Bronco player draws at 11:45. Play begins at noon with a shotgun start and will end with drinks and hors d'oeuvres at 5:30 p.m., with an award ceremony to conclude the event at 6 p.m. The entry fee is $600 per player, a portion of which is tax deductible.

"We hope to have another wonderful turnout this year," head coach John Kennaday said. "Our goal is that this event will continue to give friends of the program, the Santa Clara community and fans of golf in general an opportunity to get to know our program in a fun and competitive environment."

The 6,923-yard, par-72 course is located at 1000 Old Quarry Road in San Jose, and is a challenge for all levels of golfers. For driving directions and further information on Boulder Ridge, please click here.
