At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport.  To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.

The Broncos saw sophomore midfielder Glenn Vass (Northampton, England) recognized as one of the league's top student-athletes. Vass was an All-WCC Freshman Team honoree last season and despite being limited by injury this season, has helped SCU contend once again for a conference crown.

"I recently changed majors and will be pursuing a degree in Finance," said Vass on Friday. "Things have been difficult lately with soccer and finals coming up. But I think it is a motivational piece. My parents have given me a chance to go to school and I want to reciprocate that with good grades. I also like to be good at what I do, whether it's school or soccer. Another thing that has motivated me to do well was planning to transfer into the Business School."
