SANTA CLARA, Calif. - After a week which saw her turn in three double-double performances in leading the Broncos to a pair of wins, senior guard Michelle Cozad earned her third West Coast Conference Player of the Week honor, the conference office announced Monday.

In Santa Clara's three games last week, Cozad averaged 18.7 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game in leading the Broncos (4-6) to a 2-1 mark.

Despite a narrow 82-77 loss at Montana on Tuesday night, Cozad scored 14 points, pulled down 14 rebounds and dished out five assists. She also went 4-for-6 from behind the arc, and on the season has connected on 53.3% of her three-point attempts (32-for-60). In Bronco wins Thursday and Saturday night over Eastern Washington and San Jose State, Cozad respectively put up totals of 23 points and 10 rebounds and 19 points and 12 boards.

For the season, the Stockton, Calif. native is very nearly averaging a double-double a game with 18.9 points and 9.7 rebounds. She paces a Bronco offense that leads the WCC with 80.6 points a game, 13 points more than the second-best team. Individually, Cozad leads the conference in scoring, rebounding and threes made, and is in the nation's top-ten in three-point percentage as of Dec. 12.

"Michelle has been playing tremendously on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court," said head coach Michelle Bento-Jackson. "There's no question she's a very versatile offensive player and has a knack for scoring but we've been even more proud about how she's been getting on the rebounds and the defensive effort that she's been putting out on the floor."
