Two Women's Rowers Named CRCA Scholar-Athletes

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara women's rowing had two student-athletes named Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar-Athletes. Senior Brenda Arellano '15 and sophomore Hollynd Boyden '17 were honored after being named WCC All-Academic and Honorable Mention, respectively.

"We're very proud of the leadership Brenda and Hollynd have shown in the classroom. Particularly for Brenda as a senior to be included in this group consecutively for the last three years is a wonderful accomplishment," said Santa Clara head coach John Wojtkiewicz.

To qualify a student-athlete must have at least a 3.5 GPA and be in at least her second season of eligibility.

Arellano has a 3.78 GPA in Psychology. Boyden has a 3.72 GPA in Biology.
