JUNCTION CITY, Ore - The Santa Clara University women's golf team completed play at the Eighth-Annual Oregon Duck Invitational Tuesday morning at the par-72 Shadow Hills Country Club. As a team the Broncos fired a final round 335, pushing their three-round total to 994, giving them 12th place for the tournament.

Courtney Dimpel-Composti carded a team-low six-over par, 78, Tuesday morning and finished in 57th place with her two-day total of 38-over par, 254. Jessica Lamberty was the highest finisher overall for the Broncos, finishing 51st after shooting an 85 on Tuesday. Her three-round tournament total was as 31-over par, 247.

Candice Palmer and Meggie Fagundes each tied for 53rd with their total of 249. Fagundes shot an 85 in the final round, two strokes better than Palmer. Nikki Mack carded a final round 91, pushing her total to 46-over par, 262, and finishing her 61st.

"We played today having finished 36 holes of golf less than 12 hours prior to teeing off," said head coach Polly Schulze. "We haven't done that in a tournament since September and I think it caught up to us a little. I think we may have been a little fatigued out there.

"Although we didn't quite shoot what we wanted to today, I think that we still made improvement here this week which is what we wanted to accomplish. We want to be playing our best golf by the time the conference tournament rolls around and I think we took another step towards accomplishing that at this tournament."

Santa Clara returns to action on March 24-25 as they host the Santa Clara Colby Classic in Carmel, Calif. The Colby Classic will be the Broncos' final tune up for the West Coast Conference Championships which take place on April 14-15.
