SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis signed Gonzaga transfer JennaMarie Gordon, a former five-star recruit and a top-90 nationally ranked player out of Saratoga, California.

"I am excited to attend Santa Clara University because of its extensive academic and athletic opportunities," said Gordon. "The campus is beautiful, and it is the perfect size and location for me. There is an amazing sense of community on campus as well as a great network through the surrounding Silicon Valley. I'm looking forward to working with a fantastic coaching staff and competing alongside a great group of experienced players."

Gordon is eligible to play for the Broncos this fall with four years of eligibility since she did not compete for the Bulldogs last season.

During her prep career, Gordon was ranked number one in Northern California singles and 19th by tennisrecruiting.net in her senior class. She was the 2018 Laguna Creek National Level 4 tournament champion, and took second in both singles and doubles play at the Mt. Rushmore Junior National Level 3 tournament and Level 4 Stockton tournaments.

"Jenna is going to make an immediate impact on our program," said Cabell. "She has a ton of national and international experience and will make us better right away. Her combination of academic and athletic excellence fits perfectly with our goals as a team. We can't wait for her to get started."
