COMPLIANCE STATEMENT

Compliance with NCAA and West Coast Conference (WCC) rules remains the highest priority for Santa Clara University and its athletics program. As a member of the NCAA and WCC, Santa Clara University is responsible for the actions of its coaches, student-athletes, faculty and staff, fans, boosters, alumni and friends.  The Compliance Office seeks to assist all such individuals in maintaining the standards set by the NCAA and WCC.

NCAA rules (as well as WCC, University and individual team rules) have evolved over many years, and continue to do so.  These rules are often complex and interwoven.  Properly applying a specific rule to a student-athlete’s situation is often challenging.  Because penalties for violations can be severe, student-athletes and coaches are encouraged to contact the Compliance Office regarding questions as to what is permissible.  Remember…
