  • Men's Water Polo Unveils 2023 Schedule

    Santa Clara men's water polo has a new conference to call home and now knows which opponents they will face in it. As a charter member of the inaugural season of the West Coast Conference sponsoring men's water polo, the Broncos have unveiled their full 2023 schedule, which features four home matches in addition to the annual Julian Fraser Memorial.

    The Santa Clara University athletics department had six more student-athletes, three women and three men, named to the Academic All-District At-Large team Tuesday by the College Sports Communicators organization for their academic and athletic achievements.

    For the second-straight year, a total of 13 student-athletes from Santa Clara men's water polo have been recognized for their academic prowess by earning a spot on the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) 2022 Men's All-Academic Team. 
  • Broncos Finish Fourth At WWPA Championship

    Santa Clara men's water polo's time at the Western Water Polo Association Championships came to end on Sunday with the fourth-seeded Broncos falling to host and No. 2 seed LMU, 14-6, in the third-place game. The Broncos finished in fourth place at the Championships and conclude the season with a 12-14 overall record and a 4-4 mark in league play. 
  • Broncos Put Up Great Fight In WWPA Championship Semifinal

    Santa Clara men's water polo put up a great effort on Saturday in the semifinal of the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Championships, giving the top-seeded Aggies of UC Davis all they could handle before ultimately falling 12-7 at the Burns Aquatic Center. 
  • Broncos Hold On Against Air Force In OT To Advance At WWPA Championships

    Santa Clara men's water polo picked up thier biggest win of the season on Friday afternoon in the opening round of the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Championships. The No. 4-seed Broncos held on for dear life in the final moments of overtime to preserve a 16-15 victory over fifth-seeded Air Force at the Burns Aquatic Center. It is Santa Clara's first win in the opening round of the WWPA Championships since 2019.
  • Four Broncos Earn All-WWPA Honors

    Santa Clara men's water polo had four student-athletes honored by the Western Water Polo Association on Thursday. Ford Eldredge was named a second team All-WWPA selection, Zach Fales and Dominick Kirk earned spots on the honorable mention team, and Reese Jenican was named to the conference's all-freshman team.

    No. 16 Santa Clara men's water polo put a bow on their regular season with a 16-6 victory over Fresno Pacific in yet another dominating performance at the Sullivan Aquatic Center. The Broncos closed out the year with three straight victories and won five of their final six games to carry plenty of momentum into postseason play.

    Ford Eldredge's banner day of five goals and one assist helped power Santa Clara men's water polo to a big 14-9 victory over the Air Force Falcons on Friday at the Sullivan Aquatic Center. Ford scored 5 goals overall, meeting his career highlight of the season. 
  • Balanced Attack Leads Broncos to Victory over Concordia

    Santa Clara men's water polo imposed their will on Concordia with a 19-3 victory over the Golden Eagles on Saturday afternoon at the Sullivan Aquatic Center. The Broncos excelled in all areas of the game with a season-high 19 points and season-best three goals allowed.

    No. 17 Santa Clara men's water polo has two games on tap for the weekend, beginning tomorrow with a road contest against UC Davis. The Broncos will then host Concordia at home on Saturday at 12 p.m. PT.

    Santa Clara men's water polo put up a strong fight against the seventh-ranked Aggies of UC Davis, but ultimately was unable to keep up down the stretch as the Broncos fell in a 14-8 final on Thursday afternoon in Davis. 
  • Broncos Take Down Brown, 13-8, On Final Day of JFM

    Santa Clara sophomore men's water polo player Zach Fales had one of the best games of his young career on Sunday, scoring a career-best five goals to go with a pair of assists and one steal as he helped power men's water polo to a 13-8 victory over Brown. 
  • Broncos Split Pair of Games On Day Two Of JFM

    No. 17 Santa Clara men's water polo split their two games played on the second day of action at the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament. The Broncos began their day with a tough 15-13 loss to No. 14 Harvard before finishing the day on a high note with a 13-11 victory over Bucknell. With the split, Santa Clara heads into the final day of the home tournament with a 7-11 record.

    No. 17 Santa Clara men's water polo was unable to sustain their strong offensive start against ninth-ranked Princeton, falling to the Tigers 16-8 in the Broncos' opening game of the 2022 Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament.

    No. 17 Santa Clara men's water polo gave a great effort against the 16th-ranked Lancers of Cal Baptist, erasing a late 8-6 deficit in the fourth quarter, but ultimately fell in a 9-6 final on Thursday at the Sullivan Aquatic Center. 
  • Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament Highlights Big Weekend For MWP

    No. 17 Santa Clara men's water polo is set for quite the busy weekend. After opening the season with 14-straight road and neutral site contest, the Broncos will host four day's worth of action over the weekend, beginning Thursday with a WWPA game against Cal Baptist. Santa Clara will then play host to the fifth-annual Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament Friday through Sunday. All games will be played at the Sullivan Aquatic Center.

    Santa Clara men's water polo sophomore Chase Raisin has been named the Western Water Polo Association's Player of the Week following an outstanding four-game stretch in which he helped lead the Broncos to a 3-1 mark.

    No. 17 Santa Clara men's water polo, currently on a three-game winning streak, is set to take on No. 13 UC San Diego on Friday, Oct. 14, in San Diego at 6:00 p.m. PT. The game will be the last of 14-straight road or neutral site games to open the 2022 campaign. 
  • Men's Water Polo Picks Up Two Wins At Cal Baptist Invitational

    Santa Clara men's water polo enjoyed a big day at the Cal Baptist Invitational, scoring 35 combined goals to win both games on Saturday. The Broncos have now won three-straight and improve to 6-7 on the season. 
  • No. 17 Broncos Pick Up First Conference Win, 10-3, Over Biola

    Behind a three-goal hat trick from Chase Raisin and an outstanding defensive effort in the net by Chase Zamborelli, No. 17 Santa Clara men's water polo picked up a big victory on the road with a 10-3 win at Biola on Friday morning. The win was the Broncos' first in league play and improves the team to 4-7 overall on the year.

    No. 17 Santa Clara men's water polo gave No. 10 LMU everything they could handle, taking the contest down to the literal last second of regulation, but ultimately was unable to pull off the comeback victory over the Lions.

    No. 17 Santa Clara men's water polo is set for three-straight days of road action beginning on Thursday with a conference bout against LMU in Los Angeles. The Broncos will then play against Biola on Friday before taking part in two games at the Cal Baptist Invitational on Saturday. 
  • Men's Water Polo Drops Final Game Of MPSF Invite

    Santa Clara men's water polo's Zach Fales and Caedmon Fisher combined for seven goals against LMU in the Broncos' final game of the MPSF Invite, but unfortunately it wasn't enough as they dropped the match, 18-10, to conclude their four-game stay at the tournament with a 1-3 mark. 
  • Broncos Split Two Games On Second Day Of MPSF Invite

    Santa Clara men's water polo split their two games on day two of the MPSF Invite hosted by Stanford. The Broncos began the day with a tough 13-11 loss to No. 9 San Jose State before turning things around with a big 10-5 victory over No. 16 Fordham in the afternoon. 
  • Broncos Put Up Great Fight Against No. 2 UCLA

    While Santa Clara men's water polo was unable to come away with a victory, there was a lot to be proud of the Broncos in the opening round of the MPSF Invite hosted by Stanford. Santa Clara, the 15th seed, was matched up against No. 2 UCLA, and gave the Bruins a great test, but ultimately fell in a 13-9 final.
