GREENWOOD, Ind. — The Santa Clara University athletics department had six more student-athletes, three women and three men, named to the Academic All-District At-Large team Tuesday by the College Sports Communicators organization for their academic and athletic achievements.
The Broncos honored were women's water polo's Lauren Voss (4.00 Grade Point Average, M.A. in teaching + credential program), beach volleyball's Julia Sangiacomo (3.948 GPA, biology), Claire Choi of women's golf (3.618, M.S. in online marketing), Bennett Stafford of men's water polo (3.50, finance), and men's golf's Viraj Garewal (3.817, M.S. in finance and analytics) and Julien Paltrinieri (3.63, M.S. in finance and analytics).
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 21 (men) and June 22 (women). The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the men's list and the women's list.
