Santa Clara Hall of Famer Frank Lico '52 Passes Away

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara Athletics lost a Hall of Famer in Frank Lico '52 (1929-2023) recently. Lico was inducted into the Santa Clara Hall of Fame in 2006 for his time on the baseball team.

Lico led the Broncos to a three-year winning record of 47-12-0. Lico was selected by the players and coaches of the California Intercollegiate Baseball Association as a First-Team All-League. He led the CIBA in total bases and extra base hits. He was also named to the 1952 All-American Second-team. Lico was described by longtime San Jose Mercury News columnist Tom Rowan as "one of the greatest players ever to wear the Bronco uniform".
