SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The 2023 winter term was yet another successful one for the many student-athletes of Santa Clara Athletics. A total of 368 Broncos combined for a 3.387 GPA for the term, an increase from their 3.329 in the fall.
For the second-straight term, it was the men's tennis program who claimed bragging rights as the team with the highest mark with a 3.613 GPA. They were followed closely by men's soccer (3.475) and men's track and field/cross country (3.432) to round out the top three on the men's side.
The women's golf team laid claim to the top GPA on the women's side with a 3.602 for the term. They were one of three women's teams to achieve a 3.5 or higher with track and field/cross country turning in a 3.564 and volleyball tallying a 3.544.
Other highlights from the term include:
- 42 student-athletes earned a 4.0
- 67 student-athletes earned between 3.75-3.99
- 80 student-athletes earned between 3.50-3.74
A total of 155 student-athletes have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher at the end of the winter term.
