Men's Water Polo Drops Final Game Of MPSF Invite

STANFORD, Calif. - Santa Clara men's water polo's Zach Fales and Caedmon Fisher combined for seven goals against LMU in the Broncos' final game of the MPSF Invite, but unfortunately it wasn't enough as they dropped the match, 18-10, to conclude their four-game stay at the tournament with a 1-3 mark.

Fales connected on four of his six shot attempts and also had a pair of steals as part of a great effort. Fisher recorded a hat trick of his own with three goals and one steal. Unfortunately there wasn't much else offense to be found on the Broncos' side, and LMU took advantage. The Lions led 10-3 at the half and was able to keep their distance on the scoreboard throughout the remainder of regulation.

Dominick Kirk had three assists and Jackson Westerman drew a team-high three kick-outs.

With the loss, Santa Clara drops to 3-6 on the year. They will have their second shot against LMU on Oct. 6 in Los Angeles.
