Chase Raisin Named WWPA Player of the Week

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara men's water polo sophomore Chase Raisin has been named the Western Water Polo Association's Player of the Week following an outstanding four-game stretch in which he helped lead the Broncos to a 3-1 mark.

Raisin played outstanding defense in all four games as the starting center defender and was a force to be reckoned with on offense, scoring eight goals across the stretch, as well as dishing out three assists and posting three earned ejections. Raisin was especially impressive in the 17th-ranked Broncos' 10-3 victory over Biola as he scored a hat trick and posted an assist and drew a kickout. The Santa Barbara native also scored two goals in the matches vs. No. 10 LMU and Austin College.

Raisin is the first Bronco to win WWPA Player of the Week honors since Ryan Werner earned the distinction for the week of Oct. 9, 2019.
