AS A FRESHMAN IN 2010-11: Competed in three events for the Broncos this year out of 12, including the WCC Championships … finished 36th in that event with rounds of 78, 83, and 72 … tied for 48th at the Anteater Invitational shooting rounds of 73, 80, and 79 … tied for 63rd at the SCU Cabo Collegiate with rounds of 86, 81, and 74.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Benet Academy in the Chicago area, graduating in May of 2010 … placed 8th in the 2008 Illinois Class 3A state tournament … fired a Benet school record 18-hole round of 71 in tournament play … also enjoyed an outstanding American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) career, posting a number of rounds in the 60’s … tied for 5th at the AJGA Columbus event, tied for 8th at the AJGA Golf Pride tournament … played in the Illinois State Amateur in 2008 and 2009 … just missed qualifying for the US Amateur as a prep.
PERSONAL: Son of Kevin and Peggy Callahan of Hinsdale, Illinois … has three younger sisters, Christy, Meghan and Annie … studying in Santa Clara’s Leavey School of Business.
