Men's Tennis

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2005-06: One of the steadiest players on the team, going 14-8 during the spring season, primarily at the No. 6 position... compiled an overall singles record of 17-12, including a 7-3 mark in the WCC... registered a five-match winning streak during the middle of the year, defeating Brian Garfield (Eastern Washington), Max Taylor (UC Santa Barbara), Carlos Malet (Loyola Marymount), Kevin Borzenski (Pepperdine), and Jake Berriochoa (Montana State)... sealed the Eastern Washington and Sacramento State dual matches for Santa Clara... participated in the Wilson/ITA Northwest Regional Championships... advanced to the Round of 16 at the Santa Clara Bronco Classic... compiled an overall record of 11-11 in doubles, playing mainly the No. 3 spot with Brian Brogan... sported a 2-1 record at the Santa Clara Bronco Classic, reaching the Round of 16 with Chris Iwamura.  

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2004-05: Played inaugural season as a Bronco in the No. 5 and 6 singles positions earning a team best 21 victories...notched first dual match singles victory against UC Santa Cruz to open the season...registered notable wins over No. 33 Rice, No. 52 Oregon, No. 55 Fresno State, No. 72 Portland, No. 73 UC Irvine and No. 75 Denver... recorded a six match singles win streak...competed in singles and doubles at the Pacific Tiger Fall Classic, Santa Clara Bronco Classic and ITA Regional Championships during the fall tournament season...captured the Flight 'C' singles championship in Bronco debut at the Pacific Tiger Fall Classic...earned first career victory over Thomas Dawson Roberts of Saint Mary's College...paired with freshman Tyler Wilson to capture the Flight 'B' doubles crown at the Pacific Tiger Fall Classic...voted the Roy T. Zepponi Bronco Rookie of the Year.  

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2004 graduate of Saratoga (Calif.) High School... played for coach Kevin White... a three-time team MVP... tallied 100 career singles victories while at Saratoga... led team to the 2004 SCVAL De Anza Division and Central Coast Section championships... team reached semifinals of the Northern California team tournament... named a 2004 High School Tennis All-American... ranked among top-five junior players in the Northern California 18s division... listed as high as No. 105 in Boys 18s, No. 32 in Boys 16s and No. 6 in Boys 14s USTA national rankings... represented Northern California at the USTA Zonal, Intersectional and Junior Davis Cup championships... privately coached by Michael Jessup and trained at Sylvano Simone Tennis Academy.
