Due to a knee injury, McQuaid is serving as a student assistant coach during the 2007-08 season after a fine career as a player.  

AS A JUNIOR IN 2006-07: One of three tri-captains for Broncos ... slowed by knee injury, which prevented him from playing singles most of season ... went 2-4 in singles and 11-16 in doubles on the season ... Doubles: Played 19 matches with Blane Shields, five with Jan Macek and three with Brian Brogan ... teamed with Shields at Polo Ralph Lauren Championships in Oct., losing to Gubic and Vujaklija of Wichita State 8-5 ... also played the Bronco Classic and ITA Regionals with Shields, going 1-2 in those matches ... started dual season at No. 1 with Shields with an 8-4 win vs. Seeberger and Vartabedian of UC Santa Cruz on Jan. 20 ... lost six straight matches with Shields from Jan. 20-Feb. 9 .. won two straight matches, beating Christen and Alcala of Arizona 8-3 on Feb. 10 and Heinemann and Weber of Hawaii 8-4 on Feb. 14 in 4-3 Bronco wins ... won final match with Shields on Mar. 11 8-5 vs. Dewitte and Berger of Cal Poly ... got wins over Kincaid and Schleining of Portland 8-2 on Mar. 2 and USF's Nachbauer and Thong on Mar. 8 8-6, while losing to Platonov and Sion of Saint Mary's 8-6 on Mar. 3 with Brogan at No. 3 doubles ... won three of five dual matches with Macek at No. 1 doubles from Mar. 31-Apr. 15 ... beat Harvard's Ermakov and Kumar 8-5 on Mar. 31, earned 8-6 win over USF's Berry and Tu on Apr. 5 and defeated Garcin and Tonelli of Nevada 8-1 in that stretch ... Singles: in the fall McQuaid participated in the Bronco Classic on Oct. 6, losing to Anthony Zarfris of Fresno Pacific 6-3, 6-4 ... after losing opener of ITA Regionals to Taylor Leiby of Fresno State on Oct. 20, defeated Sacramento State's Warrick Foy 7-6 (3), 6-1 and USF's Asaf Cohen 6-4; 4-6; 1-0 (10-6) in the consolation bracket on Oct. 21 ... lost to Phil Kao of Stanford 6-4, 6-4 to end run at ITA Regionals ... lost only dual match singles appearance to Tim Lantin of Sac. State 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (4) on Apr. 15, the last match of the regular season.

AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE IN 2005-06: Among the team's top players, holding down the No. 2 and 3 positions during the dual season... racked up 12 singles victories throughout the course of the season, including a 3-5 mark in the WCC... recorded a three-game winning streak in mid-March, defeating Aleksander Charpantidis (Tulsa), Adam Fauvre (Saint Mary's), and Fernando Rodriguez (San Francisco)... got to the Round of 32 at the Wilson/ITA Northwest Regional Championships and the Baylor Intercollegiates... reached the quarterfinals of the Santa Clara Bronco Classic, taking out Andre Sion (Saint Mary's) and Darragh Rowan (Portland) before falling to Blake Mueller (Stanford)... posted a 20-16 doubles record, playing primarily with Blane Shields at the No. 1 and 2 spots... the 20 doubles victories is the most in program history for one season and second on the career doubles victories list... went 7-2 in the WCC with Shields, earning All-WCC Second Team honors... the pair advanced to the Round of 16 at the Wilson/ITA Northwest Regional Championships, Baylor Intercollegiates, and the Santa Clara Bronco Classic.  

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2004-2005: Medical redshirt due to injury.  

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2003-04: Earned honorable mention All-WCC honors in singles playing in the No. 3-6 positions... posted 18 victories with notable wins over No. 30 Fresno State, No. 33 San Diego State, No. 44 Oregon, No. 63 UC Santa Barbara and No. 69 UC Irvine... captured the Flight 'C' singles title at the Pacific Tiger Fall Classic in Bronco debut... reached the quarterfinals of the Fresno State Bulldog Classic... clinched the team victory over Cal Poly with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Davey Jones... recorded 12 doubles victories, solidifying a spot with Taylor Bedilion in the No. 3 slot...won the Flight 'B' doubles title with fellow freshman Bobby Rasmussen at the Pacific Tiger Fall Classic.  

HIGH SCHOOL: Trained at the Huntington Beach Tennis Academy as a junior and senior... played for head coach Kevin Garrett at Los Alamitos (Calif.) High School... played in top singles position all four years, never losing a league match... led team to the 2001 State Championship for the first time in school's 33-year history... a three-time CIF Division I semifinalist... named the 2003 Long Beach Press Telegram Player of the Year... a four-time MVP... a four-time Pepsi Sunset League Player of the Year... ranked No. 17 in the USTA Boys 16s national rankings... ranked 91st in the USTA Boys 18s national rankings... advanced to the doubles quarterfinals at the 2001 Easter Bowl... a singles finalist at the Texas Open... a member of the President's Honor Roll at Los Alamitos.
