Women's Golf

AS A JUNIOR IN 2005-06: Was given the Coach's Award by head coach Schulze...competed in nine events...had three top-twenty finishes, including 18th at the Cal Poly Invitational, 20th at the Lady Braveheart Challenge, and 12th at the WCC Championships. Lowest score of the season was a 73 in the first round of the Cal Poly Invitational...finished the season with a per round average of 81.95.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2004-05: An All-West Coast Conference honoree... one of two players to have competed in all nine events... led the team with a 76.90 scoring average... carded three even-par rounds... posted four top-25 finishes... won the Cal Poly Invitational with an even par 146... placed 10th at the WCC Championship with a three-round 238... placed 11th at the Boise State Bronco Fall Invitational... tied for 18th at the SCU Colby Invitational... lowest round of the season was a 72 in the first round of the Boise State Bronco Fall Invitational.... Lowest three-round total was a 223, also at the Boise event.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2003-04: Competed in all nine events... led the team with a 78.0 scoring average... posted two top-five finishes and five in the top 25... placed second at the Sacramento State Fall Invitational with a 77-73--147... tied for third at the Matador Spring Invitational with a 77-71--148... placed sixth at the WCC Championship with a three-round total 228... lowest round of the season was a 71, achieved twice: in the final round of the Lady Aztec Invitational and in the second and final round of the Matador Spring Invitational.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2003 graduate of Napa High School in Napa, Calif... played golf, volleyball and soccer... earned All-MEL for three consecutive years... won NorCals her junior year... named the Junior NCGA Champion in 2002... led team to a league title in 2002 and qualified for NorCals... Competed in the U.S. girls amateur in New Jersey and in the Junior World in San Diego in 2001... involved with Interact, CSF, and was a peer mediator.

PERSONAL: Full name is Samantha Ann Trask... born on February 27, 1985 in Redwood City, Calif... daughter of Syann and Bob Hintz... hobbies include golf, volleyball and soccer... major is undeclared, but hopes to improve her golf game in order to someday compete in the LPGA Tour.
