Dustin Moore continues to make a name for himself as one of the top assistant coaches in collegiate volleyball as he begins his 11th season at Santa Clara University, and fourth as the associate head coach. He shares responsibilities in all aspects of the program, and assists head coach Jon Wallace in a number of key areas, including recruiting, scheduling and travel. This year's recruiting class was ranked No. 11 nationally by prepvolleyball.com.

In his previous eight years as an assistant, Moore has helped lead the Broncos to a 165-72 (.703) overall record, including an 83-29 (.765) mark in the West Coast Conference. The program has advanced to the NCAA Championship in each of those seasons while also earning national rankings by the AVCA. Last year the team advanced to the NCAA Tournament Second Round with a 3-2 win over then-No. 13 Kansas State; and ended the season with a No. 25 final national ranking.

"Dustin has very high energy and motivation. He makes the team work extremely hard," head coach Jon Wallace said. "He knows where the Santa Clara program started and where we're taking it, and he's very excited about that. In addition, with his high school and club coaching experience, he has a good understanding of our local talent for recruiting purposes and in helping our freshmen class make that high school-to-college transition."

Moore joined the Broncos as a second assistant in 2001 and was quickly promoted to the top assistant position the following season. However, he boasted previous experience with the program prior to his current position, as he served as a volunteer assistant on Annie Feller's staff in 1997 and `98 and maintained ties to the Mission Campus by coaching the program's summer camps.

Moore joined Santa Clara from Woodside Priory High School in Portola Valley, where he was the head coach for the girl's and boy's varsity volleyball squads. While with Woodside Priory, his girl's team won the CIF Division V California State Championship, which featured former Bronco Cassie Perret.

Moore began his coaching career at his alma mater, Menlo College, where he was an assistant for the Division III team in 1994 before becoming the head coach for the 1995 and `96 seasons. Moore then turned to club teams and coached City Beach Volleyball Club for four seasons before moving to the South Bay Boys Volleyball Club in 1999, where he stayed for two years.

Moore earned a bachelor's degree in advertising from Menlo College in 1994. A native of Santa Barbara, he and his wife Kim have a daughter, Teagan, and two sons, Tanner and Brayden. The family resides in San Jose.
