Will Yuen enters his sixth season on the Mission Campus and his fourth as a full-time assistant, after joining the program in June 2005 as a volunteer assistant coach. He shares in all responsibilities of the program and concentrates on running the DataVolley program in addition to opponent scouting and film breakdown.
Yuen spent the eight seasons with Archbishop Mitty High School's volleyball program as head coach of the girl's junior varsity team, which he led to undefeated seasons in 2003 and '04. Since 2004, as head coach of Mitty's boy's varsity team, he guided the squad to its first Central Coast Section playoff appearance in four seasons. His duties included scouting and video breakdown of opponents, planning and daily operation of all camps, and assisting the girl's varsity staff during the Monarchs' three CIF State Championship title runs.
Yuen, a native of nearby Sunnyvale, graduated from San Jose State in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in marketing.
