Former Women's Water Polo Signs Professionally

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Former Santa Clara women's water polo player Annie Eldredge has signed a professional contract in Spain.

Eldredge, a driver for the Broncos from 2016-19, inked a deal with Club Natació Sant Feliu, which is based in Barcelona and is a member of the second division.

A 2019 graduate of Santa Clara, Eldredge played in all 87 games her final three years, starting in all but one. She ended her career ranked fourth in Santa Clara history in both assists (110) and steals (108). She led the team in assists her final two years and has totaled 104 goals during her career.  

Last season, she was named Golden Coast Conference (GCC) Player of the Week in February, after posting three goals, two assists and career-high six steals. Eldredge has been was a two-time member of the GCC All-Academic Team and 2018 member of the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-Academic Team. 

Eldredge grew up in La Jolla, California and began playing water polo at a young age. She helped her high-school team become four-time College Interscholastic Federation (CIF) champions and her club team, the San Diego Shores, place second in Junior Olympics. She was also awarded First Team All-CIF.
