LA Tech/Squire Creek Classic

Oct. 17, 2006

Recap

Head coach Rob Miller, on team's performance: "I think most of the guys hit the ball ok today. But the greens were really tough with the Bermuda grass. [The greens were] difficult for the guys to read."

Miller, on weather implications: "Playing the practice round on Sunday and then having to take a day off was not the best situation and getting to play just the one round made it difficult. 54 holes might have given the guys enough looks to figure it out, but it was a tough transition for just one round.

Miller, on play of Jong Yoon: "Jong played very well. Considering what happened with the weather, and the adjustment for the course, he had a very good first-round score."

Jong Yoon, on trip to Louisiana: "I would say things went pretty well. We took today as a learning experience. We're going to take everything from this week as something to learn from. We got to practice putting in the rain which was fun."

Yoon, looking ahead to next week's tournament: "We feel very comfortable. Some of the teams we played here [in Louisiana] were really familiar with the course, so heading into our own tournament we feel like we have the upper hand. We know the course very well, so we're going to give it our best."
