Santa Clara, Calif. - Just a few days after learning that the H.E.B. Baylor Intercollegiate Tournament was cancelled, George Husack, the Santa Clara men's tennis head coach, was informed today that the tournament has been rescheduled for next weekend. The Broncos will travel to Waco, Texas for the three-day tournament, which runs from September 30 through October 2.
The tournament will feature two single flights and one doubles flights. Husack intends to have sophomore Kevin McQuaid compete in the A-Flight singles draw, while junior Bobby Rasmussen and sophomore Blane Shields will take part in the B-Flight singles draw. In addition, McQuaid and Shields will team up and play in the doubles draw.
Aside from Santa Clara, other schools that will be participating in the tournament include Alabama, Baylor, Boise State, Lamar, Laredo, Montana State, Nebraska, New Mexico, Northwestern, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas A&M, UT Arlington, UT San Antonio, Wichita State and Yale.
