The third Annual Golf Event benefitting Santa Clara men's water polo team raised over $40,000 for the program and continued to build upon the endowment that was established for the Bronco water polo team a couple years ago, announced Scott Pritchett, chair of the event.

The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches announced the men’s water polo 2013 All-Academic awards on Mon., March 3. This year, three Broncos were named to the All-Academic team including senior Theo Nasser, and juniors Casidhe McClone and Mark Davis.
Redshirt senior Patrick Weiss of the men’s water polo team has been named by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches to the 2013 All-American Honorable Mention team. This is Weiss’ third honor for the 2013 season.
The No. 14 Bronco men's water polo team finished off their season on a high note, finishing in third place of the WWPA Tournament with a win over No. 15 LMU, 12-7. The Broncos finished their season with an overall record of 16-15, including 4-3 in conference. They maintained a top-20 ranking all season.
After a hard-fought battle on day two of the WWPA Tournament, the No. 14 Broncos fell to No. 10 UC San Diego, 8-4. The Broncos now advance on to compete for third place against No. 15 LMU on Sunday at 12:15 pm.
In the first round of the WWPA Championships, No. 14 Santa Clara men's water polo advanced to the semi finals with a 10-9 win over Cal Baptist. The Broncos outscored Cal Baptist 3-2 in the fourth quarter to take the win.
At the conclusion of the regular season, six members of the Santa Clara men’s water polo team received a boost of confidence as they head into playoffs, earning 2013 All-WWPA Conference awards. Junior goalkeeper Matt Pritchett and RS-senior Patrick Weiss were named to the First-Team WWPA All-Conference team, and freshman Graham McClone was one of eight appointed to the WWPA All-Freshman Team.
13 Western Water Polo Association Men's Water Polo Championships will begin on Fri. 22 and run through Sun. 24. It is hosted by No. 11 UC Davis. The No. 14 Broncos will play their first game at 2 pm on Friday against the Cal Baptist Lancers. The Broncos are 15-14 overall and 3-2 in conference.
In their final regular season game, the No. 14 Broncos fell to No. 5 Cal 11-4 at their home pool. The Broncos are now 15-14 for the season, and will begin to prepare for the WWPA Championship that will start on Nov. 22.
The No. 16 Bronco men’s water polo team will travel to No. 5 UC Berkeley to take on the Bears on Nov. 14 at 2 pm. After going 1-1 in conference play last weekend, the Broncos hope to come out strong against the Bears. This TV match-up will be live on the Pac-12 Network.
WWPA Men’s Championships will be held Friday, Nov. 22 – Sunday, Nov. 24 at the Schaal Aquatics Center at Davis, with winner earning automatic bid to National Collegiate Men’s Water Polo Championships.
With less than two weeks away from Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Championships, Santa Clara Broncos reporter Jenny Anderson caught up with freshman Graham McClone (GM) to talk about his rookie season.
The No.16 SCU Men's Water Polo team will bring it home to the Sullivan Aquatic Center this Saturday to play their final home game of the season against Air Force. They will honor their four seniors Tucker Carlson, Theo Nasser, Jimmy Moore and Patrick Weiss. The Broncos will then travel to No. 12 UC Davis for their final conferece game on Sunday before heading to the WWPA championships. The Broncos are currently 14-12 and 2-1 in conference matches.

The No. 14 Bronco men's water polo team faced a tough weekend of play down in Southern California, and went 1-2. On Friday, the Broncos lost their first conference game to No. 10 UC San Diego and fell to Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday, but ended the weekend on a high note, defeating No. 12 Loyola Marymount. The Broncos are now 2-1 in conference and 14-12 for the season.
After going 4-1 over the weekend and picking up their first conference win of the season, the No. 14 Broncos head down to Southern California, and face conference competition. The Broncos are set to play conference rival No.10 UC San Diego on Fri. Nov. 1, then move up to Los Angeles on Saturday and play Pomona-Pitzer and finish off the weekend on Sunday with another conference game against No. 12 Loyola Marymount.
After helping the No. 14 Broncos go 4-1 over the weekend, men’s water polo’s goalie Matt Pritchett has been named KAP7 WWPA Player of the week. Pritchett tallied 78 saves in five games, including 24 saves in the Broncos first conference win of the season over No. 20 Cal Baptist.
After a game filled weekend, the No. 16 Broncos picked up four wins, including their first conference win of the season over No. 17 Cal Baptist in overtime. The Broncos are now 13-10 for the season and 1-0 in conference.
This weekend the No. 16 Broncos men’s water polo team will be hosting their fourth annual Rodeo Tournament at the Sullivan Aquatic Center. The tournament will begin on Thursday evening as the Broncos take on No. 18 Cal Baptist at 6 pm, and then continue on throughout the weekend.
In their first home game of the season, the No. 16 Broncos could not battle off No. 2 UCLA for the win. The Broncos then played an exhibition game against West Valley College and defeated the Vikings 11-10.
A number of former Bronco’s will be returning to campus this weekend as the men’s water polo team hosts their annual alumni game on Sat., Oct. 19 at the Sullivan Aquatic Center at 12 pm. Former players from last year, to even over 10 years ago, are expected to return this weekend for the game. It is something that both the alumni and the current players look forward to.
The No. 15 Broncos men’s water polo team is gearing up to play their first home games of the season this Sunday against No. 1 UCLA and West Valley. After a weekend facing a number of top 20 teams down at the SoCal tournament, the Broncos are hoping to get back on track with a winning streak. The Broncos will play UCLA at Noon on Sun., Oct. 20 and West Valley at 4 pm the same afternoon.
After a long weekend down in Southern California, the No. 15 Broncos finished strong, picking up a win over Pomona-Pitzer. The SoCal Tournament hosted a number of top-20 ranked teams that proved to be tough match ups for the Broncos. The Broncos will bring it home for their first home games of the season on Oct. 20.
